EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern University head football coach Pat Fitzgerald announced today that sophomore running back Adonis Smith (Oakland, Calif./Junipero Serra) is leaving the Wildcat program.
"We're disappointed to see Adonis leave Northwestern," said Fitzgerald. "He is an outstanding young man and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors."
In two seasons, Smith played in 17 career games and totaled 462 rushing yards (4.3 ypc), nine receptions and three rushing TD's.
