Northwestern Seeking Women's Basketball Public Address Announcer

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern University Department of Athletics is currently seeking a public address announcer for the women's basketball program. If you have the voice, the passion and the knowledge, then the Wildcats are looking for you. In order to audition, all candidates must send in a resume, photo and audio demo (CD or mp3) by November 4th at 5 p.m. CT.

The Public Address Announcer will be the voice for all women's basketball home games and will announce prepared scripts which include important sponsor-related information, upcoming team events and promotions, team introductions, substitutions, fouls, scoring, etc. Northwestern is seeking an experienced announcer who has the ability to convey enthusiasm and showmanship, has high energy, and possesses a passion and knowledge of basketball. The search is open to candidates age 18 and over. Previous experience as a public address announcer, specifically with college basketball, is strongly preferred. The chosen candidate must be willing to work all women's basketball home games, which includes nights, weekends and holiday breaks. AUDITION DETAILS
Specific date and time for auditions will be determined once the search has closed and all viable candidates will be notified. During the audition, candidates will be asked to demonstrate their abilities in a variety of areas mentioned in the position description above.
