LOS ANGELES -- Northwestern's lengthy run at the ITA All-American Championships came to a halt Saturday night as Linda Abu Mushrefova and Nida Hamilton succumbed to Florida's top pair in the semifinals at the Riviera Tennis Club, 8-3.

In the semis against Florida's Sofie Oyen and Allie Will, Mushrefova (Bradenton, Fla./Pendleton) and Hamilton (Oak Brook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) dropped a hard fought battle, 8-3.

In the quarterfinal match earlier today, Mushrefova (Bradenton, Fla./Pendleton) and Hamilton (Oak Brook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) were pushed to the limit by Wake Forest's duo of Kayla Duncan and Kathryn Talbert. Northwestern's had control most of the way in the back-and-forth affair and hung on to win a nail-biter, 9-7.

Northwestern will next compete at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Columbus, Ohio. That competition gets underway from Columbus, Ohio on Oct. 20 and runs through Oct. 25.
