Northwestern Rides the Coaches Caravan Around Chicagoland

June 27, 2011

CHICAGO -- About 100 Northwestern supporters filled Ditka's Restaurant in downtown Chicago Tuesday, all of whom were able to mingle with head coaches Bill Carmody, Pat Fitzgerald and Joe McKeown and Director of Athletics, Jim Phillips for NU's Coaches Caravan.

Fans were able to have one-on-one conversations with the coaches while enjoying food and beverages before the event's question and answer session. With a wide variety of discussion topics, the event allowed the participating fans to get unique inside look into NU athletics and hear anecdotes and program goals from the four NU representatives.

Residents of Evanston will have their chance to meet with Carmody, Fitzgerald, McKeown and Phillips as the final stop on the Northwestern Coaches Caravan is set for 5:30 p.m. on July 20 at Pete Miller's Restaurant. Tickets for the upcoming event are $30 and include appetizers and drinks. Space is very limited and the deadline to RSVP is Wednesday, July 13. Due to NCAA regulations, no high school-aged students may attend the event.

To reserve tickets for July's event, call the Northwestern Athletic Ticket Office at 888-GO-PURPLE.
