Join the 'Cats for Northwestern Day at Arlington Park -- NU's Lax Champs to be Honored!

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Athletics will take over the Arlington Park racetrack on Saturday, June 4, beginning at 11:15 a.m. Race day will be full of unique and special events for fans of all ages celebrating their love for Northwestern, Chicago's Big Ten Team.

Event highlights include the opportunity meet and greets with Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald and Men's Head Basketball Coach Bill Carmody, photos with Willie the Wildcat, an interactive youth sports skill zone and more. An autograph session for Coach Carmody, Fitzgerald and Head Women's Basketball Coach Joe McKeown will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the park.

Additionally, head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller and Northwestern's 2011 NCAA champion women's lacrosse team will be on hand to be honored for winning the program's sixth national title last Sunday. Fans will have a chance for an autograph session with the national champions from 3 to 3:30 p.m. in the park.

1:00 p.m. -- 1st Race -- Fencing/Swimming
1:31 p.m. -- 2nd Race -- Wrestling
2:02 p.m. -- 3rd Race -- Football
2:33 p.m. -- 4th Race -- Lacrosse (recognition of the team at this time as well)
3:04 p.m. -- 5th Race -- Northwestern Race
6th Race -- No Presentations
4:06 p.m. -- 7th Race -- Men's and Women's Soccer
4:37 p.m. -- 8th Race -- Men's Basketball
5:08 p.m. -- 9th Race -- Softball/Baseball
5:39 p.m. -- 10th Race -- Women's Basketball

During each of the races, the coaching staffs will be interviewed on the in-house TV broadcast and be presenting the trophy in the Winner's Circle.
