Tuesday, May 3 7 p.m. Northwestern Student-Athlete Talent Show
Northwestern's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is hosting the inaugural Student-Athlete Talent Show at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, in the Ryan Family Auditorium inside the Technological Institute (2145 Sheridan Road). The event, which is open to the general public, will include student-athletes in every act ranging from musical performances to comedic skits. The judges for the evening will be head football coach Pat Fitzgerald, strength and conditioning coach Jay Hooten, manager of business development Amy Potter and Dean of Students Burgwell Howard.
A suggested donation of $3 will be taken at the door, with all proceeds going to the Kathryn Mahoney Fund to support the recovery of Michigan State gymnast Kathryn Mahoney.
Saturday, May 7 vs. Indiana at 1 p.m.
Purple Auction: Join the Northwestern Softball team for the fourth annual Purple Auction to be held in Welsh-Ryan Arena, following the Wildcats' home game against Wisconsin. With great food, drinks and outstanding auction items, this is THE event to celebrate Northwestern Softball! Scout Day: All scouts and scout troops are invited out to cheer on the 'Cats as they face Big Ten rival Indiana. Scouts can stick around after the game to participate in a variety of activities that will earn them a Fields Sports Badge. Admission to the game and post-game badge activity is free, however registration is required to participate in the post-game event. Join Hands Day: Saturday is national "Join Hands Day," where emphasis is placed on community outreach. All fans are encouraged to come out to support the 'Cats as they take on Indiana, while supporting the community by bringing any canned food items the can. Our goal is to gather 300 items of food by the end of the game to give to local Evanston food shelters.
Senior Trading Cards: The first 100 fans will receive a Jordan Wheeler trading card. One senior trading card will be handed out on weekend Big Ten games. On Senior Day, May 8 vs. Indiana, fans can bring in the set of five trading cards and receive a prize.
Saturday, May 8 vs. Indiana at 1 p.m.
Senior Day: The Northwestern Softball team will recognize their senior softball players. Fans who bring in all five Seniors' trading cards will win a special Northwestern Prize Pack.
Mother's Day Celebration: Come out and celebrate all Mothers as the 'Cats take the field against Indiana.
Senior Trading Cards - Culmination: Any Fan who brings in all five Senior Trading cards will receive a special NU Prize Pack in appreciation of their support of Northwestern Softball.
