EVANSTON, ILL. -- Northwestern's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is hosting the inaugural Student-Athlete Talent Show at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, in the Ryan Family Auditorium inside the Technological Institute (2145 Sheridan Road). The event will include student-athletes in every act ranging from musical performances to comedic skits.
"I am very excited for the upcoming Talent Show," said SAAC co-president Jonathan Harris. "I feel this will be an annual event sponsored by SAAC. It will be a great opportunity for our student-athletes to display their talents in a new way. Day-to-day, Northwestern student-athletes excel in the classroom and on their respective fields, but this show will bring the athletic community together in a new and creative way."
The judges for the evening will be head football coach Pat Fitzgerald, strength and conditioning coach Jay Hooten, manager of business development Amy Potter and Dean of Students Burgwell Howard.
A suggested donation of $3 will be taken at the door, with all proceeds going to the Kathryn Mahoney Fund to support the recovery of Michigan State gymnast Kathryn Mahoney.
