Round One Results (PDF Format) 
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Senior David Lipsky (La Canada, Calif./La Canada) and freshman Brad Shigezawa (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou Academy) led Northwestern with a pair of par performances during Friday's first round of the FAU Spring Break Championship. The duo's 72-shot effort places them in a tie for 15th on the individual leaderboard entering play Saturday.
As a team, the Wildcats finished 7-over par, which ties them for seventh heading into round two. Northwestern, currently ranked 33rd, finished the day with a score of 295.
Sophomore Nick Losole (Scottsdale, Ariz./Scottsdale Notre Dame) was even on the front nine and finished with score of 1-over 73 to tie for the 25th individual slot after wrapping up the day with a birdie on 18.
After struggling a bit, junior Eric Chun (Ansung City, South Korea/International Christian School) turned in a solid effort on the back, bogeying just once to end the first 18 with a score of plus eight.
Senior Josh Dupont (Poway, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) rounded out Northwestern's scoring Friday with a 6-over 78 first-round total.
Ravi Patel (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley), Sam Chien (San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel) and Jack Perry (Santa Barbara, Calif./Santa Barbara) competed as individuals in the event. Patel turned in a career-best performance, shooting 2-under 70 for an eighth-place finish while Perry is right behind him, tied for 10th after a 1-over par effort. Chien concluded the round 3-over 72, which tied him for 44th heading into tomorrow.
The FAU Spring Break Championship continues tomorrow, Saturday, before the final round on Sunday, March 27. Live results are available at golfstat.com.
