This is the second year in a row Northwestern's annual banquet will be hosted by Pinstripes, located at 1150 Willow Road in Northbrook, Ill. PLEASE NOTE: The May 22 date for the team banquet is a recent change from its originally scheduled date of May 2.

The following day, head out to the Chevy Chase Country Club (1000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling, IL) for an 11 a.m. shotgun start to compete in a friendly golf outing featuring contests for lowest score, closest to the pin, longest drive and a car giveaway for a hole-in-one. The club will also host a dinner with Northwestern-themed prizes following the round.

The cost per golfer is set at $200, or $700 per foursome, with special rates available for dinner-only attendees or for a number of sponsorship opportunities.

Northwestern posted one of its most successful dual seasons in program history, going 18-2 overall with a 6-2 record in Big Ten duals. The Wildcats, who defeated four ranked opponents during the season, finished the year ranked No. 14 in the NWCA/USA Today Coaches poll.

• NU qualified five wrestlers to the NCAA Championships in Philly: senior Brandon Precin (125), sophomore Levi Mele (133), true freshman Kaleb Friedley (141), senior Andrew Nadhir (149) and sophomore Jason Welch (157). Precin became a three-time All-American with his second career 3rd-place finish, while Nadhir and Welch each became All-Americans for the first time by placing 6th. The 'Cats finished tied for 12th in the team standings.

• Brandon Precin became just the second wrestler in NU history to win multiple Midlands championships. The senior moved into third all-time in career victories at Northwestern with 138 and spent four weeks ranked No. 1 nationally at 125 pounds.

• Northwestern staged a successful 2011 Big Ten Championships in front of a packed house in Welsh-Ryan Arena, placing seven wrestlers on the podium led by Precin (2nd), Welch (3rd) and Nadhir (4th). Friedley battled his way to sixth place while Mele, Kevin Bialka (165) and Ben Kuhar (285) all took eighth.

• This was the final year in the careers of seniors Frank Battaglia, Robert Holbrook, Aaron Jones, Bobby Joyce, Andrew Nadhir, Brandon Precin and Keith Sulzer.
