Northwestern Ousted From Singles Main Draw at Big Ten Indoors

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Northwestern's three remaining players on the championship side of the Big Ten Indoor Championships Flight A singles bracket -- Joshua Graves, Andrew McCarthy and Spencer Wolf -- each were eliminated from the draw on Sunday.

Wolf posted a win in his round of 16 match Sunday morning, downing Ohio State senior Shuhei Uzawa in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, to advance to the tournament's quarterfinals. He came up against Illinois sophomore Stephen Hoh in that match, falling in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Hoh had advanced to the quarterfinals by getting past Northwestern senior Andrew McCarthy, 6-4, 6-3, in the round of 16.

Graves, the bracket's No. 2 seed, lost his round of 16 contest against Ohio State sophomore Nelson Vick by a 6-3, 6-4 score.
