EVANSTON, Ill. - Wildcat Basketball season is just around the corner and both the men's and women's programs are looking to make a big impact this year. Fans are invited to come to the NU Sports Pavilion and Aquatics Center (SPAC, 2311 Campus Drive) on Friday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. to check out the teams at the inaugural Friday Night Hoops.
Meet the team, hear from the coaches, watch the players scrimmage, judge the dunk contest and be a part of the action. The event is free and open to the public. Free pizza will also be served (while supplies last).
Season tickets are now on sale for the 2010-11 Northwestern men's and women's basketball seasons. Be sure to catch the exciting action all season long at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
As a men's basketball season ticket holder, fans receive admission to all of the 17 home games, offering a 45 percent off the single-game ticket price. Season ticket holders will have a personal account executive as well as receive invitations to special events throughout the year. Plus, season ticket holders have the exclusive opportunity to purchase additional single-game tickets to all of the Wildcats' home games before they go on sale to the general public like the CBS-televised game vs. Illinois on Feb. 5.
A limited number of upper Purple Preferred season ticket seats are available for $272 while Regular Reserved season tickets are $224. NU Faculty/Staff can purchase season tickets for only $192, a 54 percent discount off the single-game ticket price, and NU Young Alumni (2006-10)/Graduate Students can purchase season tickets for $119, a 70 percent discount off the single-game ticket price.
This season the Wildcats are also offering an Eight-Game Plan for $200 that includes the following home games:
Nov. 19 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Home Opener)
Nov. 30 vs. Georgia Tech (ACC/Big Ten Challenge)
Dec. 13 vs. Long Island
Jan. 3 vs. Michigan State (Big Ten Home Opener)

Feb. 5 vs. Illinois
Feb. 24 vs. Penn State
March 2/3 vs. Minnesota
The Five-Game Plan features one game per month and is $125:

Jan. 9 vs. Indiana
Feb. 17 vs. Iowa
March 2/3 vs. Minnesota
Nonconference single game tickets will be $22 this year, and they will go on sale Monday, October 25, 2010. Big Ten single game tickets will be $27, and they will go on sale Monday, November 29, 2010.
This season's great halftime acts include the likes of the Bucket Boys, Red Panda, Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, Air Elite Dunkers, Jesse White Tumblers and Quick Change.
Adult season tickets on the women's side cost just $49 for adults and $29 for youth under the age of 18. A season ticket family plan, which includes two adults and three youth, costs just $99. Also, courtside seats are available this season for only $99 for the entire season.
