EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior Amy Jaeschke was tabbed as one of the top 10 WNBA prospects to watch this season by sportspagemagazine.com, it was announced Tuesday (Sept. 21). The 6-5 center spearheaded one of the most outstanding seasons in Northwestern's history last season, guiding the 'Cats to the third round of the WNIT.
Jaeschke has been NU's leading scorer and rebounder the last three years including averaging 13.9 ppg and 8.2 rpg last season. She was a First-Team All-Big Ten selection last year, leading the `Cats to their first postseason appearance in 16 years. Jaeschke was a force on the defensive end as well, registering 3.21 blocks per game, which came in sixth nationally.
Other standouts who made the elite list include Ohio State's Jantel Lavender, Connecticut's Maya Moore and Duke's Jasmine Thomas. For the complete release, click here.
