EVANSTON, Ill. -- Wildcat Insider, Northwestern's weekly half-hour show on WGN Radio (720 AM or wgnradio.com), returns to the airwaves for its second season at 10:30 p.m. CT tonight (Friday, Aug. 27). The show is hosted by WGN Sports Director Dave Eanet and Northwestern Athletics and Recreation Director Jim Phillips.
This week's guests are senior guard Michael Thompson, one of two team captains for the 2010-11 Wildcat men's basketball team, and senior associate athletics director Mike Polisky, who is overseeing all external affairs at Northwestern. Thompson and the Wildcat basketball team depart for Italy on Saturday and begin an 11-day trip that will include playing four games. Polisky, who joined the NU staff in June, most recently was the president and general manager for the Chicago Rush and Chicago Wolves.
