EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will host its second annual Wildcat Golf Day with Luke Donald on Monday, Sept. 13, at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Ill., to benefit both NU's men's and women's golf programs.

The event includes lunch, a 1:30 p.m. CT shotgun start, a clinic with Luke Donald, heavy hors d'oeuvres and an auction. Each group will play nine holes with a different Northwestern golfer. Cost for Wildcat Golf Day is $750 per person or $3000 for an entire foursome.

"I am very excited to invite you to join us at the second annual Wildcat Golf Day with Luke Donald at Conway Farms Golf Club," said men's head coach and NU Director of Golf Pat Goss. "This will be a wonderful day at an amazing facility hosted by our most famous golf alum, Luke Donald, who is in position to host this event before immediately competing in the 2010 Ryder Cup. This will be a memorable event on the golf calendar, so please invite fellow NU fans, clients, golf fans and friends."

Donald has had one of the best seasons of his career in 2010, boasting five top-10 finishes this year including a win at the 2010 Madrid Masters in May. He is in position to be one of the picks for the European Team in the 2010 Ryder Cup, an event he has played in twice before. Donald has more than $17 million in career earnings after turning professional in August of 2001.

Conway Farms was the site of Northwestern men's golf's 2006 Big Ten championship, and previously has hosted the 1998 USGA Junior Amateur, the 2009 Western Amateur and is slated to host the 2012 USGA Mid-Amateur. Donald, a Conway Farms member, currently is the world's 25th ranked golfer and is 23rd in the 2009 FedEx Cup standings. He is coming off a fifth-place finish at the 2009 Open Championship.

In addition to participating in Wildcat Golf Day, several sponsorship opportunities exist for the event. For more information or to access a registration form for Wildcat Golf Day, download the .pdf invitation at the top of this page.
