VILLANOVA, Pa. - A long day for the Northwestern men's soccer team concluded with the Wildcats playing to a scoreless draw with host Villanova Saturday evening.
NU boarded an early Saturday morning flight for Philadelphia and took on Villanova less than 12 hours later.
"Overall, I thought we were a little bit sluggish from the long trip," Northwestern head coach Tim Lenahan said. "Villanova, who is a very good team, took it to us the first 20 minutes. Once we settled in, the game was pretty even.
"This was a very good scrimmage for us because we see that we have a lot of things to work on."
Final statistics were not provided.
Northwestern resumes its exhibition season Friday when it takes on St. John's in Pomona, N.J.
