EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's 2010 Senior Weekend has arrived at Sharon J. Drysdale Field. During its home series against Wisconsin May 8-9, NU will host the fourth-annual Purple Auction following Saturday's contest, while Senior Day ceremonies will commence prior to Sunday's first pitch. Game time on both days is 1 p.m. CT.

The 2010 senior class comprised of Lauren Delaney, Kelly Dyer, Aly Euler, Emily Haug and Nicole Pauly have plenty of accolades to their credit, beginning with a third-place finish at the 2007 Women's College World Series prior to winning the 2008 Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. The group has combined for 13 Big Ten Player or Pitcher of the Week awards, six All-Big Ten accolades, five NFCA All-Region honors and six Academic All-Big Ten selections.

Individually, Pauly was the 2007 Big Ten Freshman of the Year before Delaney was named the 2008 Pitcher of the Year. Haug won All-Big Ten honors in 2008, Dyer is a former Big Ten Player of the Week and Euler, who has scored a run in 63 different games in her career, had a big hand in organizing Saturday's Purple Auction as part of an internship initiative she designed this quarter.

Be sure to stick around following Saturday's game, with Purple Auction festivities beginning at approximately 3 p.m. in Welsh-Ryan Arena (Admission to the ballpark is free for the game, and the dinner is $50 per person ($20 for children 16 & under)). The event annually bring together current and former players, stakeholders, friends and family of the program to celebrate the rich tradition and exciting future of Northwestern Softball.
