IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Northwestern and Iowa's Wednesday doubleheader newly scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. CT will get underway at 4:30 p.m. CT after a day filled with storm clouds and weather fronts passing through the area.
Iowa Event Management Assistant Josh Berka said the games should be good to go after "(this) last little wing of rain passes through." The tarp is not on the field, but drizzle continues and the schedule has been pushed back more as a precaution than a necessity. Should further schedule changes occur, they will be reported on this page.
3:55 p.m. CT UPDATE: The rain has stopped in Iowa, but the field crew now has a lengthy task ahead of it to clear the water from the infield. As such, anticipated first-pitch time now is 5:15 p.m. CT for tonight's doubleheader.
