EVANSTON, Ill. -- Wildcat Insider, Northwestern's weekly half-hour show on WGN Radio (720 AM or wgnradio.com), will air at 8:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 18. The show, which is hosted by WGN Sports Director Dave Eanet and Northwestern Athletics and Recreation Director Jim Phillips, is in its first season.
"Wildcat Insider" is presented by Northwestern Sports Properties, the exclusive multi-media rights partner of Northwestern Athletics.
This week's guest is Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman, who joined the Big Ten Network in December 2006 after serving as the general manager and senior vice president of ABC Cable Networks Group, where he managed the company's equity in such channels as Lifetime Television, A&E Network and the History Channel. Silverman has led one of the most astounding cable television launches in industry history. In less than three years, the Big Ten Network has reached nearly 73 million homes nationwide.
