Noble paced NU with a .529 batting average, nine hits, two doubles, two triples and two stolen bases in a four-game series at UNLV last weekend. Noble posted an .882 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage. He notched three multi-hit games, including a career-best four hits with a double, two triples, three runs scored and two RBI in the series finale against the Rebels.
Mosolova notched a pair of impressive wins Saturday vs. Wisconsin, including a win in her first match of the season at the No. 1 doubles spot. Mosolova and Lauren Lui knocked off Wisconsin's top team of Hannah Berner and Alaina Trgovic, 8-3, before the 13th-ranked Mosolova won in singles over Katya Mirnova, 6-0, 6-1. Mosolova helped NU improve to 4-0 in the Big Ten this season and she is now 21-0 in her career in Big Ten singles matches.
This week's Community Service Athlete of the Week is sophomore Brian Mulroe (Glenview, Ill./Loyola Academy) of the football team. Mulroe and other members of the football program were among those who shaved their heads to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, whose goal is to support the fight against pediatric cancer. This is the second year that NU has participated in the event, which last week raised $1,900 for the foundation.
