RIO GRANDE, P.R. -- Sophomore Alexandra Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Central) shot an even-par 72 through the first 18 holes of the 2010 Lady Puerto Rico Classic and is tied for sixth overall. Lederhausen was one of three Wildcats to break 80 through the first round of the Lady Puerto Rico as Northwestern is tied for ninth-place overall at 18-over 306.

Lederhausen was even all afternoon, shooting a 36 on both the front and back nine as she posts her third even-par or better round of the season. She holds a four-stroke edge on freshman Lauren Weaver (Scottsdale, Ariz./Cactus Shadows), who is tied for 26th overall after a 4-over 76 through the opening round. Junior Innapha Tantanavivat (Bangkok, Thailand/David Leadbetter Academy) enters day two six shots behind Lederhausen after a 6-over 78 performance on Sunday.

Northwestern enters the second round in Rio Grande tied for ninth with Big XII opponents Baylor and Oklahoma as the trio sit two shots behind eighth-place Indiana (16-over, 304) and three strokes back of seventh-place Texas Tech (15-over, 303). Georgia currently sits in first place with a 4-over 292, three shots better than second-place Alabama (7-over, 295) with reigning champion Purdue (8-over, 296), Kent State (11-over, 299) and Oklahoma State (12-over, 300) rounding out the top five.

Monday's round two at the Coco Beach Resort gets underway with a shotgun start at 6:10 a.m. CT as all 16 teams will play 18 holes before the final round Tuesday. Live scoring of the event will NOT be available, with results posted at NUsports.com as they become available.
