Jan. 28, 2010

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern concludes its dual meet season with a two-day, four-team meet this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 29-30, at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.

NU will join host No. 9 Ohio State, No. 6 Michigan and Penn State for the quad-dual, which begins at 5 p.m. CT Friday and continues with a second session at 11 a.m. CT Saturday morning. Live results can be found by searching the main swimming page on OhioStateBuckeyes.com.

The Wildcats enter this weekend with a 4-4 dual meet mark on the season, and have five top-10 times in the Big Ten this year according to the most recent data available from USA Swimming. NU is coming off a thrilling senior day meet last weekend against Iowa, which saw the Wildcats come from behind to take a late lead before falling in the final relay in front of a thunderous crowd of more than 600 at the Norris Aquatics Center.

This weekend's action marks the first of three possible meets for Northwestern at the McCorkle Pavilion. Ohio State also plays host to the Big Ten Championships (Feb. 24-27) and the NCAA Championships (March 25-27) this season.
