EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's dramatic appearance in the 2010 Outback Bowl will be featured prominently on the Big Ten Network Thursday, as the network airs its "Bowl Wrap-Up Show" at 9 p.m. CT.
'Cats' head coach Pat Fitzgerald will be among the featured interviews in the hour-long program, which will take a look back at the seven Big Ten bowl games that followed the 2009 college football season.
Northwestern's Outback Bowl appearance was the first in school history, and the Wildcats' third New Year's Day bowl game since 1996. NU trailed Auburn by 14 points three times in the game, but scored a pair of touchdowns in the final 3:20 to force overtime before ultimately falling to the Tigers, 38-35.
The Outback Bowl was one of the most exciting games of the 2009 bowl season and set television ratings records for ESPN in the Chicago area.
The "Bowl Wrap-Up Show" will re-air several times on the Big Ten Network. More information can be found on the network's schedule page.
