EVANSTON, Ill. -- Wildcat sophomore Brittany Orban (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) of the women's basketball team and freshman Drew Crawford (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) of the men's basketball team have been named NU's Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week for their performances over the weekend.

Orban spearheaded an outstanding overall team effort in NU's 53-50 victory at Kansas State Sunday afternoon. The sophomore recorded 12 points and hauled in eight rebounds, four of which came on the offensive end. Orban was 2-of-3 from three-point range and a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe while also setting the tone with two steals and a host of hustle plays on defense for Northwestern.

Crawford scored a Big Ten season high and NU freshman record 35 points in the 'Cats' 90-65 win over North Carolina A&T Sunday. He hit six 3-pointers and scored 24 points in the first half and finished with eight triples in the contest overall, one shy of the NU individual game record. His eight treys helped Northwestern set a Big Ten single-game record with 20 made 3-pointers. Crawford added five rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots in the victory.

This week's Community Service Athlete of the Week is senior Chris Doman (Pittsburgh, Pa./St. Charles Prep) of the men's swim team. Doman and the entire men's swimming and diving team donated their time last Saturday by ringing bells and collecting money on behalf of the Salvation Army. Doman and his teammates were stationed at various locations around Evanston to raise money for the holiday season.
