EVANSTON, Ill. -- WGN Radio and the Wildcats announce the latest Wildcat Wednesday ticket deal featuring the men's basketball home opener against Northern Illinois on November 13 at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase half-price tickets to this game every Wednesday at NUsports.com between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. -- that's only $10 for Big Ten Basketball. Tune in to Dave Eanet on WGN Radio (720 AM) beginning at 6:30 a.m. every Wednesday for instructions on how to receive the special discount code or visit the WGN web site today.
"We've had a great response to Wildcat Wednesday, which Dave Eanet features every Wednesday morning in his sports reports," said WGN Promotions Coordinator Jenny Eck. "Listeners love the opportunity to win tickets and save money to various NU athletic events."
In the last 18 months, WGN Radio and the 'Cats gave away tickets to some of the biggest men's basketball and football conference matchups, as well as tickets to the five-time national champion women's lacrosse games. In April, May and June, listeners won football season tickets, including the Family Plan package that admits two adults and three children to every home game this season.
Fans also had the chance to win tickets to the Wildcats' Football game against Penn State on October 31 at 3:30 p.m. It's the biggest Halloween Party of the year including trick or treating in Wildcat Alley before the game and fireworks after the game so if you don't have your tickets, be sure to get them today!
It's Purplepalooza, so Coach Fitzgerald is asking all fans to wear purple to the game, including his former teammate Darnell Autry, who will be painting himself purple if the Wildcats' get 5,000 fans on Facebook by October 30. Fans who have the most purple on at the game will win $100 cash or $100 in Wildcat Football tickets compliments of Harris Bank.
