Fast Break Club Tip-Off Dinner Set for Oct. 22

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern Basketball fans won't want to miss out on this year's Fast Break Club Tip-Off Dinner which is being held Thursday, Oct. 22 at Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse and Bar in downtown Chicago.

The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour followed by dinner. At 7 p.m., the program begins and features Fast Break Club President Steve Manus as emcee. The auctioneers for the live auction will be Dave Eanet, the Voice of the Wildcats, as well as former Wildcat and current Big Ten Network analyst Tim Doyle. The guest speaker for this year's event is Head Coach Bill Carmody. Numerous current and former Northwestern players are also expected to be in attendance.

Among this year's featured items up for auction are a home game experience with former Wildcat Jason Okrzesik for the Feb. 14 game vs. Minnesota, an away game experience with the team and former 'Cat Sterling Williams for the Feb. 21 game at Wisconsin, an evening of refreshments with Head Coach Bill Carmody, as well as tickets to watch Chicago Bulls and Cubs games with Northwestern coaches.

The Fast Break Club is also sponsoring Happy Hour with Coach Carmody on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at Stanley's Kitchen & Tap in Lincoln Park (1970 N. Lincoln Ave). This is a great opportunity to meet Coach Carmody and other NU basketball fans. Stanley's is the official home for watching all Northwestern men's basketball televised games this season.

Also, a pre-game party will be held Friday, Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. at Stanley's Kitchen & Tap in the West Loop (324 N. Racine Ave). Fans can enjoy themselves before Northwestern takes the court against Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. in the Chicago Invitational Challenge at the UIC Pavilion.
