EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Wildcats' partnership with WGN Radio continues to grow with additional benefits for listeners during Wildcat Wednesdays with Dave Eanet. For the last 18 months, WGN radio has been giving away Wildcat football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse tickets to lucky listeners who called in to win every Wednesday morning as part of Wildcat Wednesdays on WGN. In addition to winning Football season tickets last year, these winners were also invited on the field to form the team tunnel for the 'Cats before the game.
"I won four season tickets last year so I was able to take my husband, friends and family with me to every game where we tailgated before and after the games to make a whole day out of it," said 2008 Wildcat Wednesday winner Kara Babinski. "I took my Mom with me on the field for the home opener, which was one of many fun memories made last season."
This year, WGN Radio and the 'Cats gave away tickets to some of the biggest men's basketball conference matchups, as well as tickets to the five-time national champion women's lacrosse games. In April, May and June, listeners won football season tickets, including the Family Plan package that admits two adults and three children to every home game this season.

In addition to the ticket giveaways, Wildcat Wednesdays now offer savings for all listeners. Tune in to Dave Eanet on WGN Radio (720 AM) beginning at 6:30 a.m. every Wednesday for instructions on how to receive the special discount code. The Wildcat Wednesday code allows fans to purchase end zone tickets to either the Towson game on September 5 or the Eastern Michigan game on September 12 for only $10 each. Tickets must be purchased on NUsports.com with this code between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. every Wednesday.
"We've had a great response to Wildcat Wednesday, which Dave Eanet features every Wednesday morning in his sports reports," said WGN Promotions Coordinator Jenny Eck. "Listeners love the opportunity to win tickets and save money to various NU athletic events."
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 16, the Wildcat Wednesday code will allow fans to purchase $10 end zone tickets for the Wildcats' football game against Miami (Ohio) on October 10. This code is only valid on Wildcat Wednesdays.
The matchup against Miami (Ohio) is also Take A Kid to the Game Day, which means with every adult end zone ticket purchased at regular price ($25), two children in the 8th grade and under will be admitted free. That breaks down to less than $9 per person. This offer is only valid on the day of the game. The Wildcats also offer young fans a chance to earn complimentary tickets as a reward for working hard in school with programs like Wildcats 3.0 and Purrfect Attendance, as well as the Bound for Success Reading Program that is now in its second year.
In addition to these opportunities to earn complimentary tickets, the Wildcats have several special ticket discounts for all fans, including North Shore Community Day, Heroes' Day, Scout Day, Youth Football Day and more.
