EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will host Wildcat Golf Day with Luke Donald on Monday, Sept. 14, at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Ill., to benefit both NU's men's and women's golf programs.
The event includes lunch, a 12:30 shotgun start, a clinic with Luke Donald, heavy hors d'oeuvres and an auction. Each group will play nine holes with a different Northwestern golfer. Cost for Wildcat Golf Day is $750 per person or $3000 for an entire foursome.
"I am very excited to invite you to join us at the inaugural Wildcat Golf Day with Luke Donald at Conway Farms Golf Club," said men's head coach and NU Director of Golf Pat Goss. "This will be a wonderful day at an amazing facility hosted by our most famous golf alum, Luke Donald. Please come out and join us to have a fun day and support Wildcat Golf. This will be a memorable event on the golf calendar, so please invite fellow NU fans, clients, golf fans and friends."
Conway Farms was the site of Northwestern men's golf's 2006 Big Ten championship, and previously has hosted the 1998 USGA Junior Amateur, the 2009 Western Amateur and is slated to host the 2012 USGA Mid-Amateur. Donald, a Conway Farms member, currently is the world's 25th ranked golfer and is 23rd in the 2009 FedEx Cup standings. He is coming off a fifth-place finish at the 2009 Open Championship.
