EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Wildcat fans who have joined the Twitter craze can follow the 'Cats at @NU_Sports -- the official Northwestern athletic twitter account. Fans can receive instant updates, or "tweets," directly from the Wildcats' athletic communications office via the internet or on their mobile phone.
Wildcat fans can stay updated with the latest Northwestern news, announcements, etc. Users must create an account to join. Once logged in, fans have the choice of following other users, and they can activate their mobile devices to receive tweets as other users, including Northwestern's Athletic account, post them.
Twitter is a free service that lets users keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
Northwestern football fans will want to follow @NU_Sports next Monday and Tuesday as the Wildcat staff provides tweets from the 38th Annual Big Ten Media Days in Chicago.
