Spring Sports Weekly Release #11 -- PDF Format
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Wildcat freshman Eric Chun (Ansung City, South Korea/International Christian School) of the men's golf team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week for his performance at the NCAA Championships last week.
Chun led Northwestern in the NCAA Championships last week by shooting an 11-over 224 over the 54-hole tournament. On the final day, Chun shot even par on the front nine to lift him to a 79th-place overall finish for the championships.
This week's Community Service Athlete of the Week is Darby St. Clair-Barrie (Scituate, Mass./Brooks School) of the women's lacrosse team. St. Clair-Barrie and other student-athletes partnered with fraternities and sororities to serve pancakes to students from 8-10 a.m. on the lawn next to Kellogg on campus. The event was part of a campus-wide initiative to ensure that students took the proper steps to have a safe and enjoyable Dillo Day.
