May 15, 2009

EVANSTON, Ill. - Rain has forced the postponement of Friday's baseball matchup between Northwestern and Michigan. The teams will now conclude their series by playing a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. at Rocky Miller Park.

The Wolverines won Thursday's opening game of the series 16-6 and still remain alive for a Big Ten tournament berth. Michigan trails Purdue by a game and a half for the sixth and final spot with two games remaining.

Northwestern will honor its seven senior following the completion of Saturday's twinbill.
