DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Junior Jonathan Bowers (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) has a share of the individual lead after two rounds at the FAU Spring Break Championship, compiling a two-day total of 7-under 135 (67-68) to help Northwestern jump two spots into second place entering Sunday's final round.

Bowers followed up his career-best 67 Friday with a 3-under 68 on Saturday. Bowers made bogey on the third hole of his round before carding four birdies -- including three in a row on holes 9, 10 and 11 -- and finishing out with seven-straight pars.

Bowers is tied with Illinois' Scott Langley on top of the individual standings, four strokes in front of Cam Burke from Eastern Michigan.

As a team, Northwestern has a two-day total of 6-over 574 (286-288). NU is five strokes in front of No. 42 Michigan and Ohio State, both tied for third, and five strokes behind No. 20 Illinois in first. NU's round of 288 was Saturday's best by four strokes over Illinois' and Michigan's totals of 292.

Senior Andy DeKeuster (Franksville, Wis./Racine Lutheran) is in 17th place at 3-over 145 (69-76). DeKeuster made 15 pars during his Saturday round on the heels of his career-best tying total of 69 Friday.

Ravi Patel (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) is in 26th place with a two-day total of 5-over 147 (76-71). Patel recovered from a bogey-double stretch on holes three and four to make three birdies on the back side and finish with an ever-par 71 Saturday.

Joining Patel at 26th in the individual standings is junior David Lipsky (La Canada, Calif./La Canada), who also has a two-day score of 5-over 147 (74-73). Lipsky had a roller coaster round Saturday, making four birdies and six bogies. After shooting a 2-over 37 on the front side, he began the back with birdies on 10, 11 and 12 before carding three more bogies in his final six holes.

Freshman Eric Chun (Ansung City, South Korea/International Christian School) rounds out the Wildcats' team entries in 69th place with a 13-over 155 (79-76).

Competing as an individual, Josh Dupont (Poway, Calif./Poway) remains in the top-10 with a two-day total of 1-over 143 (67-76). Dupont entered day two tied for fifth place following a 4-under 67 before firing a 5-over 76 on Saturday.

Freshman Sam Chien (San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel) is in 32nd with a 6-over 148 (73-75) while Matt Denison (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) is 83rd after improving his score from Friday to Saturday by seven strokes.
