2009 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament Bracket (PDF)
EVANSTON, Ill. -
The bracket has been set for the 2009 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament. The tourney gets underway at 11 a.m. Central time at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis as ninth-seeded Northwestern takes on Minnesota, the No. 8 seed. The contest can be seen live on Big Ten Network.
The winner of the game between the Wildcats and the Golden Gophers faces top-seeded Michigan State in Friday's first contest at 11 a.m.
NU and Minnesota split their 2008-09 regular season series with each team winning on its home court. The Wildcats defeated then-No. 18 Minnesota 74-65 Jan. 18 in Evanston. The Golden Gophers got revenge at Williams Arena Feb. 22 when they knocked off NU 72-45.
Northwestern and Minnesota have met three previous times in the Big Ten tournament, including the Golden Gophers 55-52 comeback victory over the Wildcats a year ago.
