EVANSTON, Ill. -- Following its holiday training trip to Florida, No. 21 Northwestern begins the winter quarter portion of its schedule Saturday, Jan. 10, with a two-session double-dual home meet against No. 24 Notre Dame and Toledo at the Norris Aquatics Center. The first session begins at 10 a.m. with the second starting at 5 p.m.

The morning session will consist of the 400 medley and 200 free relays along with the 500 free, 100 free, 200 breast, 100 fly, 200 back and 400 IM individual races. In the afternoon, the 200 medley and 400 free relays will be held in addition to the 200 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 50 free, 100 back, 1,650 free and 200 IM. Diving events will take place during the evening session.

The Wildcats had a successful training trip, sweeping dual-meet results against Florida Atlantic, Old Dominion and Oregon State in the midst of their intense workouts. NU now begins a stretch of three-straight Saturday dual meets before focusing its energy on February's Big Ten Championships.

Northwestern is 6-2 overall on the dual-meet season, falling only to then-No. 8 Indiana and then-No. 20 Wisconsin. Both Kassia Shishkoff (Raleigh, N.C./St. David's School) and Emily Wong (Nepean, Ontario/St. Joseph's) have been named Big Ten Swimmers of the Week and the Wildcats won their own TYR Invitational during a highly successful first part of the 2008-09 campaign.
