Northwestern Battles UW-Parkside In 2008-09 Season Precursor

EVANSTON, Ill. -- First-year head coach Joe McKeown and the Wildcats will take inventory Friday evening when they entertain the UW-Parkside Rangers in a 7 p.m. contest at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The game is the first and only exhibition of the 2008-09 campaign and will serve as the prequel to the squad's season-opener against Chicago State at 6 p.m. next Friday in Chicago.

About the Rangers
• UW-Parkside finished fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference last season with a 17-11 record, including a 12-4 mark at home.
• The Rangers are picked to finish fifth in the GLVC East division.
• Parkside lost four starters from last year's squad, but returns seven letterwinners.
• Jenny Kenesie enters her seventh season at the helm of the program.
