EVANSTON, Ill. -- First-year head coach Joe McKeown and the Wildcats will take inventory Friday evening when they entertain the UW-Parkside Rangers in a 7 p.m. contest at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The game is the first and only exhibition of the 2008-09 campaign and will serve as the prequel to the squad's season-opener against Chicago State at 6 p.m. next Friday in Chicago.
About the Rangers
UW-Parkside finished fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference last season with a 17-11 record, including a 12-4 mark at home.
The Rangers are picked to finish fifth in the GLVC East division.
Parkside lost four starters from last year's squad, but returns seven letterwinners.
Jenny Kenesie enters her seventh season at the helm of the program.
