ITA All American Championships Results Day Two

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Sophomore Maria Mosolova defeated the 2008 ITA National Player of the Year and NCAA champion Amanda McDowell of Georgia Tech to advance to the semifinals of the ITA All-American Championships in Los Angeles. After dropping the first set, 4-6, Mosolova rallied to win the next two sets (6-2, 6-3) and is now the highest remaining seed in the tournament.

Next up for Mosolova is a match-up with Kelcy McKenna of Arizona State, who has put together an impressive run thus far with wins over top-seeded Aurelija Miseviciute of Arkansas and Laura Vallverdu of Miami (Fla.).

Senior Georgia Rose scored an upset of her own against fourth-seeded Hilary Barte of Stanford (7-6 (2), 6-3) to earn a bid to the quarterfinals but fell short against Marina Coussou of California, 7-6 (2), 6-4.
