EVANSTON, Ill. -- As Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald gears his team up for the start of the 2008 football season, fans can begin preparing for the ever-popular NGN Football Luncheons at Harry Caray's restaurant in Chicago.
The first luncheon will be held Friday, Sept. 12, in advance of the Sept. 13 home game vs. Southern Illinois. Coach Fitzgerald and selected players will be accompanied by NU's director of athletics and recreation Jim Phillips, the first of four special guest emcees throughout the fall.
Dates for the NGN Football Luncheons are as follows. Check-in for luncheons traditionally begins at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Friday, Sept. 12 (Chicago)-- special emcee Jim Phillips
Friday, Oct. 17 (Hilton Garden Inn, Evanston), Reunion-Homecoming -- special emcee Chris Martin (Big Ten Network)
Friday, Nov. 7 (Chicago) -- special emcee Dave Eanet
Friday, Nov. 21 (Chicago) -- special emcee Ted Albrecht
Please note that Harry Caray's in Chicago is located at 33 West Kinzie in downtown Chicago; the Hilton Garden Inn in Evanston is located at 1818 Maple Avenue.
