EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla/The First Academy) and Kelsey Lindenschmidt (West Chester, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) have been named to the All-American Scholar Team, which was announced this week by the National Golf Coaches Association.
Only student-athletes who have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and have competed in at least 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year are eligible for this team.
This past year, Hong, an Academic All-Big Ten selection, led the Wildcats in scoring with a 76.81 stroke average.
Hong, who earned her third straight All-American Scholar honor, competed in all 10 events with four top-20 finishes and was the top Wildcat performer in five events.
Lindenschmidt made an immediate impact as a freshman, competing in all 10 events. Her 78.45 scoring average ranked third on the squad as she posted three top-20 finishes.
Highlighting her freshman campaign, Lindenschmidt finished among the top three in four events and as the top Wildcat at the Big Ten Championships.
