EVANSTON, Ill.-- Northwestern won all six of its singles matches and took six doubles victories on Saturday at the Wildcat Invitational's second day.
Following a strong showing in the first day, seventh-ranked Northwestern continued its dominant streak in the morning session as Maria Mosolova (Moscow, Russia) and Samantha Murray (Atrincham, England/Altrincham Grammar) beat a pair from Utah 8-1 in Flight A doubles. Also in Flight A Lauren Lui (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid) and Georgia Rose (Mettawa, Ill./North Shore Country Day) picked up another point for themselves by taking an 8-1 victory over Antunovic and Csordas from DePaul.
In Flight B doubles, pairs of Mosolova and Murray and Rose and Keri Robison (Decatur, Ill./Florida) earned points with respective 8-4 and 8-0 victories over pairs from Western Michigan and DePaul.
In singles play, Mosolova started the evening at No. 1, coasting to a 6-3, 6-2 win. Murray, Ghazal, Lui, Matzenauer and Conill followed with wins. The Wildcats played all six singles matches without dropping a single set.
