GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Freshman Rebecca Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) fired a 6-over 78 on Saturday and is sitting in 19th place at the 18-team Lady Paladin Invitational, which is being hosted by Furman University.
As a team, the Wildcats, the defending Lady Paladin champs, are tied for seventh place with Louisville. The 'Cats are 44-over (309-311=620) and 23 strokes back of first-place TCU, which holds a seven-stroke lead over East Tennessee State.
The final 18 holes will be played Sunday.
Lederhausen carded a 76 on Friday and is now 10-over (76-78=154) for the first 36 holes. NU's first-day leader, junior Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) is in 31st place with a 12-over 156 (75-81). Junior Katie Trachok (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) is a stroke behind Hong (84-73-157) and in 39th place. Trachok's 1-over 73 was one of Saturday's best rounds.
Freshman Kelsey Lindenschmidt (West Chester, Ohio/Ursuline) and senior Brittany Johnston (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) are in 45th and 71st place, respectively.
