Minneapolis, Minn.-- In the first day of the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regionals, Northwestern was represented by two pairs of doubles and a singles entry on Friday in Minneapolis, Minn.

In doubles, Peter Rispoli (Naples, Fla./St. Stephen's (Texas)) and Alex Sanborn (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid) fell to a pair from Notre Dame, while the senior/freshman combo of Juan Gomez (Mexico City, Mexico) and David Seyferth (Ann Arbor, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) were defeated by a tandem from Louisville. Seyferth doubled up and played in the singles portion of the tournament as well, but fell in a hard-fought three-set affair to Peter Marrack of Wisconsin.
