EVANSTON, Ill. -- After playing only one match last weekend, the Wildcats are set to travel to the state of Michigan for games against Michigan and Michigan State. NU makes it's national television debut at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Michigan on the Big Ten Network. Dan Gutowski and Ellen Weinberg will have the call.

The Wildcats face Michigan State at 11 a.m. Sunday in East Lansing to close their last road trip of 2007. NU battled Illinois to a scoreless tie last Friday in Champaign with goalkeeper Lauren Johnston (Denver, Colo./Denver East) making six saves to pick up her third shutout -- and NU's fifth -- of the season.

Seniors Shannon Schneeman (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham) and Kelsey Hans (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville) pace the 'Cats on offense. Schneeman leads the way with seven goals while Hans is leading in points with 16.

Quoting Coach Erickson
"Both Michigan and Michigan State will be gunning for their first Big Ten win and we are focused on showing up ready to compete and challenge two very good teams on the road," Erickson said. "We are looking forward to our first televised game on the Big Ten Network Friday and this is an important and exciting weekend for our program."

Locks Of Love Day Is Sunday, October 28
Northwestern women's soccer's Locks of Love Day will be held during their home game against Iowa on Sunday, October 28 at noon. Fans will have an opportunity for free haircuts and Northwestern merchandise while supporting a worthy cause. For months, head coach Stephanie Erickson and several team members have been growing out their hair to donate and will be getting their hair cut after the game in support of Locks of Love. Schneeman is Steamin'
Fifth-year senior Shannon Schneeman has saved her best year as a Wildcat for her last. Schneeman is tied for fourth in the Big Ten with seven goals. Schneeman has already eclipsed her previous career high of five goals and has set a career high with three game-winning goals. Her three game-winners put her in a tie for second in the conference. Schneeman has 18 goals and 45 points for her career.

Hans' Helpers
Senior Kelsey Hans has almost been as productive distributing the ball as she has been putting it into the net this season. Hans' four assists leads the team, is good for seventh in the conference and matches a career high that she set in her sophomore season in 2005. She leads the 'Cats in points with 16.

Dunny Finding Her Stride
Junior Jenny Dunn is finding her stride after a slow start to the 2007 campaign. After netting only two points on one goal through the first seven games, Dunn broke out with a goal and an assist against St. Francis (Pa.). She scored the game-winner to give the 'Cats a 1-0 lead and then notched an assist on Kelsey Hans' goal in the second half. Dunn registered an assist in NU's loss to Indiana and leads NU in shots in Big Ten play with 12.
