EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Eric Peterman (Sherman, Ill./Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin) of football and Chelsy Hyser (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) of volleyball as its Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.

Peterman grabbed a career-high 12 catches for 114 yards Saturday in Northwestern's 49-48, double-overtime win against Minnesota. Down by 21 points late in the third quarter, the Wildcats came all the way back with Peterman catching the game-tying touchdown with eight seconds remaining in regulation.

The game marked the second-consecutive outing with more than 100 yards receiving for Peterman, who had a career-best 141 at Michigan State one week ago.

Hyser hit an outstanding .529 over the weekend for Northwestern, averaging a team-best 4.12 kills per game with a team-high 43 points. Hyser had three aces in Friday night's first game against Purdue, finishing the match with 15 kills and a .417 hitting percentage along with a team-high five blocks.

She then led the Wildcats with 18 kills and a whopping .630 hitting percentage Saturday at Indiana.
