ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- Senior Kyle Moore (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto) started his final collegiate season on a strong note, placing 16th at this weekend's Wolf Run Intercollegiate, which was hosted by Indiana University at the Wolf Run Golf Club.
Moore fired an even-par 71 on Sunday to climb from 26th to 16th place and record his third top-20 showing in his last four outings dating to last season.
As a team, the Wildcats finished 13th overall after starting the day in ninth place. Penn State fired a 2-over 286 to overtake Michigan for the team title. Indiana, Arkansas, Eastern Michigan and Kentucky rounded out the top five teams (there was a tie for fifth place).
David Lipsky (La Canada, Calif./La Canada) shot a 9-over 80 on Sunday and finished 47th with a 14-over 227 (73-74-80). Newcomers Ravi Patel (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) and Josh Dupont (Poway, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) placed 57th and 60th, respectively. Sophomore Jonathan Bowers (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) finished 62nd.
The Wildcats return to action next week when the play in the Fighting Illini Invitational in Olympia Fields, Ill.
