Northwestern designated hitter Antonio Mulé (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) was selected as a member of the NCAA All-Mideast Region baseball team. Mulé received second-team honors and joined a cast of impressive players that represent a variety of good teams in the region.
Mulé finished the 2007 season with a .353 batting average, which included eighth home runs and 41 RBI. He led the squad with a .454 on-base percentage and was walked an outstanding 36 times. Mulé also garnered second-team All-Big Ten honors.
The Big Ten led all conferences with 12 selections.
