EVANSTON, Ill. -- With just three NCAA Championships yet to be factored into the annual U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings, Northwestern is in 23rd place, its highest ranking since the program began in 1993-94.

Northwestern also has accumulated a school-record 626.50 points.

With its current (and final) point total, Northwestern is projected to place in the top 30 for the third consecutive year and will likely better its two 29th-place finishes from the past two years.

The Wildcats also have locked up a sixth-place finish among Big Ten institutions, the third straight year they have placed sixth.

Ten of Northwestern's 19 varsity sports reached NCAA postseason competition this year.
