EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named Hilary Bowen (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) of women's lacrosse as its Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week.
Bowen scored five goals and dished out two assists in Northwestern's 15-13 win over Virginia in the national championship game Sunday night. Bowen, who was named MVP of the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament, helped the 'Cats become only the second team in NCAA history to win three consecutive championships. This is the first Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week honor of Bowen's career.
