Dana was nominated by Lynn Steiner because she is committed to giving students and staff every opportunity to truly learn something new and provide them with an opportunity to take an active role in their education and career. She is an advocate for students to have a meaningful educational experience. Dana is passionate, competent, well respected, personable and valuable to Northwestern University.

Lane was nominated by Dan Platt because he serves as a history professor at Northwestern University, as well as the Dean of Freshman. He has shown the willingness to not only get to know all of the students he comes in contact with, but is an engaging and often times controversial and hilaroius voice within the history department.

Ed (pictured with his two sons) was nominated by Stephen Carr because he is known internationally for the pioneering programs in design education that he developed at Northwestern University. Ed is the originator of the Engineering Design and Communication (ED) program and is also the founder and director of the Institute for Design Engineering and Applications (IDEA). Most recently, His impact stretches well beyond Northwestern University--many other universities are eager to emulate the programs and facilities that Ed envisioned, championed, developed, and now directs.

Carolyn was nominated by Carol Lunkenheimer because Carolyn has been working at Northwestern for over 30 years in the Financial Aid and Admission offices while serving as the University Director of Financial Aid for past 15 years. She manages an annual aid budget and has served the students and their families of Northwestern University for many years. She is currently Chair Elect for the College Scholarship Service Board for the whole nation, and just recently was named Chair of the Midwestern Region of the College Board.

Ann was nominated by Surendra Basti because Ann has dramatically enhanced the residency learning and resident morale by giving the highest priority to their education and being sensitive to their needs since assuming the position four years ago. The residency program is thus much sought after now and this is reflected in our program being in the top two in the country for recieving the highest applications for residency for the past two years.

Vinky was nominated by Daniel Evans because Vinky is a member of the Northwestern Memorial Faculty Foundation and has been consistently voted one of the most outstanding medical educators for the past 10 years by 3rd and 4th year medical students. He has helped train over 100 Northwestern medical students each year for the past 10+ years.
