Wildcats Host Illinois JO Qualifier at Patten Gymnasium

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern hosted the Illinois JO Qualifier Saturday at Patten Gymnasium last weekend. The Wildcats' top finisher was sophomore Adrienne Shon (San Diego,Calif./The Bishop's School), who won the Junior Women's Sabre competition. Freshmen Whitney White (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) and Allison Keller (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle Regional) placed third and fourth in the sabre division, respectively, while classmate Jane Oh (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) took 12th place. Ameesha Sampat (Morristown, N.J./The Pingry School) placed fourth in the Junior Women's Foil Division. Also competing in that division was sophomore Ana Maria Gaviria (Waco, Texas/Midway), who placed eighth.

The following Wildcat fencers had already qualified based on their national points or in another US Fencing Division and did not compete in the weekend's event.
