Northwestern Sending a Quintet to Swim at the U.S. Open

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Five Wildcats will swim at USA Swimming's U.S. Open this Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, in West Lafayette, Ind. Senior Mike Alexandrov (Champaign, Ill./Centennial), juniors Bruno Barbic (Zagreb, Croatia/V. Gymnazija) and Kyle Bubolz (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North), and sophomores John Franklin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./North Broward Prep) and Eric Nilsson (Weston, Mass./Weston) comprise the quintet.

Coupled with five swimmers from NU's women's team, a total of 10 student-athletes from Northwestern will compete in the meet.
