Five Wildcats to Swim at This Weekend's U.S. Open

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will send five Wildcats to West Lafayette, Ind., this Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, for the USA Swimming U.S. Open.

Sophomore Hayley Fry (Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) and freshmen Jenn Kocsis (Omaha, Neb./Marian), Rachel Rys (Goleta, Calif./Dos Pueblos), Genny Szymanski (Haines, Alaska/Haines) and Emily Wong (Nepean, Ontario/St. Joseph's) all will represent NU and swim multiple events at the three-day meet.

Fry will swim both the 100 and 200 breast, while Kocsis will compete in the 200 and 400 free. Rys is entered in the 100 and 200 fly, Szymanski in the 100 and 200 back, and Wong in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles.
